most characters can be of either sex but some races are an exception and it is listed in the racial descriptions

gender is also not conformed to binary standards in most races

please remember that there are no ability modifiers for sex so most sexual stereotypes based on abilities do not work in this world

height and weight

height and weight vary by race and can be found under the racial descriptions, feel free to pick any height or weight that fits within the roll

age

every character starts at the age of 16

@ 32 you are mature and suffer a -1 to all of your physical abilities and gain a +1 to all of your mental abilities

@ 48 you are middle aged and and suffer an additional -2 to all of your physical abilities and gain an additional +2 to all of your mental abilities

@ 64 you are old and and suffer an additional -3 to all of your physical abilities and gain an additional +3 to all of your mental abilities

@an additional 8d8 years of age past 64 you die of old age

personality traits

give yours self two personality traits, one mostly positive and one mostly negative, they should be small simple ways to help separate your character from every other character, they should tell something interesting and fun about your character, specific self-descriptions about what makes your character stand out

personality traits might describe the things your character likes, its past accomplishments, things the character dislikes, self-attitudes or mannerisms, or the influence of its ability scores, class, or background, backgrounds are a great place to start but are by no means your only choices

for example

i always wear red, you regain an inspiration when wearing red has a negative consequence

i prefer the better lifestyles of my faction's elite, regain an inspiration when your bougie preferences have a negative consequence

i fall in and out of love easily, regain an inspiration when falling in and out of love has a negative consequence

i have a joke for every occasion, regain an inspiration when telling a joke has a negative consequence

ideals

describe are the things you believe in most strongly, you can choose any ideal you like but remember the effect it might have on your alignment when played

for example

i will always behave honorably (lawful), you regain an inspiration when acting honorably has a negative consequence

i will not behave dishonorably (true), you regain an inspiration when not acting dishonorably has a negative consequence

i will always sacrifice to help the needy (good), you regain an inspiration when you sacrifice to help the needy

i will not harm the needy (neutral), you regain an inspiration when not harming the needy has a negative consequence

i believe all creatures should be treated the same regardless of class, you regain an inspiration when treating all classes the same has a negative consequence

bonds

represent your character's connections to a person, place, or thing in the world, bonds answer answer questions like, who do you care most about? to what place do you feel a special connection? what is your most treasured possession? if you are not at least tempted to respond to events involving your bond its not a bond

you can gain and lose bonds and chose any one you want to start

for example

person, you regain an inspiration point every time you must make a sacrifice for the person

place, you regain an inspiration point every time you must make a sacrifice for the place

thing, you regain an inspiration every time you must make a sacrifice for the thing

a thing can be an organization, faction, group, location, vehicle, herd, or literally any thing

flaws

represent some vice, compulsion, fear, weakness, or anything that someone else could exploit to cause you to act against your best interests

for example

i steal things, you regain an inspiration point every time stealing something has a negative consequence

i kill goblins, you regain an inspiration point every time killing a goblin has a negative consequence

i offend my class betters, you regain an inspiration point every time offending a class better has a negative consequence
